Berry project
Personal project about a young strawberry trying to survive summer to see what autumn looks like.
Character sheet
She has a bright personality and loves exploring; that makes her get in trouble easily. She's very friendly, independent and curious but can be annoying at times since she tends to make lots of questions. She lives in the forest with her family and is the fourth child of a strawberry family consisting on a pair of parents and seven children.
First chapter: the fig.
In these pages we see Berry running around the forest happily when she suddenly bumps into a fig. He seems kind of tired and disorientated.
It's the first time Berry sees this kind of fruit so she can't help but talk to him and ask him every question that comes to her mind, specially when the fig expresses confusion over the fact that everything is green (trees are supposed to be red!).
"Us figs spend almost the whole year asleep. We wake up in late august only to fall asleep again when october is about to hit its end. We stay in the shade until leaves start to lose their green color. The forest turns red, and mushrooms start to grow while the flowers wither."   When the fig stops talking Berry gets up and thanks him for the telling. She's determined to stay awake all the way through summertime and see autumn with her own eyes.
